Paul Carman was born on 24th September 1962 in Leicester. He began playing organ at the age of 12 after his father had purchased the first family organ. At 14 Paul took first prize in a Midland Arts Festival beating many semi pro players.
Upon leaving Grammar school at 18 having gained 3 A levels Paul decided upon a career in music and he took up a position at a local music store.
Throughout his career Paul has worked as a demonstrator for many organ companies including Gem, Godwin, Yamaha, Roland and Orla.
It was during his 5 years as a demonstrator for Yamaha that Paul became well known on the Organ Society scene and after a break recently Paul is now back travelling all over the UK performing concerts.
About 16 years ago Paul formed a relationship with the Orla Organ Company and became part of the UK import team, Orla Direct. Paul is involved in the development of all of the latest Orla Organs and Keyboards and as a result is a frequent visitor to the Orla factory in Italy.
Work with Orla has seen Paul perform concerts and demos in Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Holland and the USA.
Paul's show puts the emphasis firmly on entertainment and his relaxed style of playing has proved very popular with audiences across the UK both at organ shows and on the cabaret circuit.
Teaching has been a part of Paul’s musical career for the last 30 years and in recent years he has held several Teaching Days in Hotels throughout the UK and it is this experience that has led to the development of this site.
